Course in First Aid Management and Anaphylaxis

Qualification Overview

Graduates of the Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis will be able to assist a person suffering an anaphylactic reaction, until the arrival of medical assistance.

The Childrens Services and Education Legislation Amendment (Anaphylaxis Management) Act 2008 requires all licensed workers in Childrens Services, Family Day Care and Out-of-school Hours Care to have an Anaphylaxis Management policy in place and to undertake relevant training

The course is aimed at a wide variety of participants such as:

Entry Requirements

It is recommended that participants have literacy and numeracy competencies equivalent to the Australian Core Skills Framework Level 2. This means that the participant must be able to demonstrate the following:

Reading and writing

Read and comprehend a range of simple texts and write a range of short texts in a number of contexts, which may be inter-related;

Oral communication

Use and respond to language around everyday subject matter, which may include some unfamiliar aspects for a range of purposes in a number of contexts, which may be inter-related, including some unfamiliar material;

Numeracy and mathematics

Deal easily with straightforward calculations, either manually and/or using a calculator.

Completion of the Qualification

Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a state and nationally accredited certificate 22099VIC Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis issued by the Australasian College of Education and Training (ACET).
